Council And Committees

The object of BESS is to promote for the public benefit the development and advancement of science and health care, in the practice of shoulder and elbow surgery by fostering education, research and clinical excellence amongst surgeons and allied health professionals.

We are a Charitable Incorporated Organisation or CIO, registered with the UK’s Charity Commission. Our registered Charity Number is 1191220.

Our Trustees are appointed by our Members via an election process which takes place at our Annual General Meeting. The Trustees form a Council which oversees the running of the Society. The structure of the Society can be found below.
